Sit on a chair with your back straight but comfortably. Taking off your shoes might also help since the Mother Earth sucks all negativity through our feet.
Place both your hands with palms upwards on your lap, look at Shri Mataji's picture and relax.
Throughout these exercises leave your left hand resting on your lap, with the palm open and facing up. Use your right hand to nourish the centres on the left side. It is important to be comfortable throughout the exercise-sit on a chair if necessary.
After reaching the last exercise, leave your attention at the top of the head and remain
meditation for a few minutes longer.
Place the right hand on the left side of the heart. Ask:
"MOTHER, AM I THE SPIRIT?"
You can say this 3 times.
Right hand on left side of upper abdomen (just below ribs). Ask:
"MOTHER, AM I MY OWN MASTER?"
(You can use either the words "Guru" or "Master" as preferred.) Say this 3 times.
Move right hand to lower part ofabdomen on the left side (where the leg joins the body).Ask:
"MOTHER, PLEASE GIVE ME THE PURE KNOWLEDGE"
Say this 6 times.
Raise right hand back up to the upper portion of the abdomen. Say:
"MOTHER, I AM MY OWN MASTER"
You can say this 10 times.
Raise the right hand back up to the left side of the heart. Say:
"MOTHER, I AM THE SPIRIT"
Say this 12 times.
Move the right hand to where the neck meets the left shoulder. Turn the head a little towards the right. Say:
"I AM NOT GUILTY AT ALL"
Repeat this 16 times.
Place the right hand across the forehead, pressing the sides. Say:
"I FORGIVE EVERYONE"
Forgive everybody for everything. Say as many times as you want, from the heart.
Tilt head back a little and place the right hand on the back of the head. Say:
"OH DIVINE, PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF I HAVE MADE ANY MISTAKES"
Centre of right palm on fontanel area on top of head, stretch fingers upwards. Press, rotating the scalp gently clockwise. Ask:
"MOTHER, PLEASE GIVE ME MY SELF-REALISATION" and "MOTHER, PLEASE ESTABLISH MY SELF-REALISATION"
Ask this 7 times.
After a little while you will start to feel a gentle cool breeze on your hands and emanating from the top of your head. You will feel relaxed and your thoughts will gradually disappear. This is the first stage of meditation - thoughtless awareness - where you are fully alert but without any thoughts, in a state of pure and peaceful consciousness.
This sensation of breeze in your palms and above your head might be warm in the beginning (which is a sign that your Kundalini energy is purifying your chakras) but it will eventually cool down. You can verify it by placing your left palm 6-12 inches above your head, then trying with the right palm.
If you are unable to feel it at first, you can massage the top of your head (fontanelle bone area) in a circular clockwise motion, by pressing hard with the center of your right palm, having your fingers fully stretched. Then again watch Shri Mataji's picture without thinking for a little while, in a relaxed way.
This is the beginning of a fantastic journey into your own spiritual existence. It is a door opened to a new dimension of your awareness, which you can open and explore. If sustained through regular meditation, you will be able to feel your subtle centers (chakras) as well as the chakras of others on your fingertips, and correct them using your spiritual energy (Kundalini).
